So Glad I Worked Out Yesterday

I am so glad I worked out yesterday. I was super sore from my intense workout on Sunday by the time I got off work. But I kept thinking about how I can fight through the soreness and actually feel better after. After a few minutes the soreness wasn't very noticeable and today I am barely sore. Sweet.

The workout yesterday was an interval run for 23 minutes, and then walked hills (treadmill style) until I hit 3 miles. I decided not to push it too much and just went home after.

Let's go back to the beginning of the day.

I started my day out with some voskos greek yogurt with kashi 7 whole grain, vanilla almond granola and some grapes. super tasty and filling breakfast.

I didn't snack all morning because I was full until 1130am hit. I knew lunch was right around the corner so I resisted. I decided to go home for lunch. I had some leftover quinoa with roasted veggies, black beans, some feta cheese and some fiber select wheat thins. Mmmmmm.

I was also able to skip my afternoon snack. Always a plus. I discovered that is where a LOT of my calories go during the day. I started snacking a lot more than I should have, when my meals were pretty large sized anyway. I was a little hungry on my way to the gym from work, but I knew once I hit the treadmill I would be fine. This was very true. If you are intense hungry bad idea, but I was barely hungry.

I did my workout as mentioned above. I decided to take a picture of my treadmill results for you.

Is this something that would be interesting to you?

For dinner I had 2 hard boiled eggs, with some fat free miracle whip, some yellow mustard, and some relish on a wholw wheat pita. I had some fiber select wheat thins, and some baby carrots. Mmmm.

The rest of my night was going smoothly until Ender got sick, 4 times. He was not feeling well at all. I wonder if he ate something weird. He seems fine today, but he really freaked me out. Plus he was super cuddly all night long which is really freakish for him. My poor little guy. Mike is going to be home today and he can keep an eye on him. I hope the little guy gets better soon!

Today I have my first physical therapist appointment. Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover it until I reach my 1k deductible. Gah. Oh well, it's not TOO expensive.l

  1. Just found your blog from the Healthy Living Blogs site! I'm on there in Houston at www.marcigilbert.com. I use that tape for shins, but haven't been to a PT to learn correct ways, I just watched videos online.

  2. Good to know it helps the shins! Mine is just for PT recovery I think. But perhaps it could help on runs. Hmmm.
