November 16, 2011 - Noble Pig Deli and Charcuterie

Workout
I was finally feeling good enough to fit in a long workout. So I did a 45 minute Nike Trainer Club workout. It included ski jumps, modified burpees, squats, presses, toe touches and more.

Breakfast

The Peached Tortilla Lunch
It was catered lunch day at work, and this time it was from The Peached Tortilla. I got the pad thai tacos and the pork belly bahn mi. So delicious. I should have not finished all of it, health wise, but it was so tasty it was hard to resist.

Noble Pig Deli and Charcuterie
I was invited to a pre-opening party at the Noble Pig. John Bates (shown below) and Brandon Martinez, owners of artisan sandwich shop Noble Pig, are opening a retail deli and charcuterie counter next door to their sandwich shop.

I started with some pickled veggies, which included TNP pickles and rye pickles, and also some pickled onions, carrots and garlic.

Look at this huge spread of delicious meat.

Below was some bratwurst and italian sausages with rye mustard and TNP mustard.

Below was some duck and beef pastrami.

Here is some duck proscuito. I never knew this existed but I loved it.

Next was some terrine with an apricot mustarda.

Next up was some country style pork terrine with blue berry and apple compote. So good!

Then we had some duck pate with apricot mustarda.

And finally a beef pastrami sandwich with cheese. So good!

Below was my final plate. I had to try everything. This normally isn't my style of food but I loved it all. It felt so nice being able to try so many fancy types of meat. I will definitely be bringing Michael back here to take some of this tasty food home.

As a parting gift I was given this jar of pickles. Again I am not usually a fan of pickles but these ones are delicious.
