November 24, 2011 - Happy Thanksgiving 2011

Pumpkin Cheesecake for Breakfast? Sure.
We had nothing available for breakfast that I wanted, so I decided to just have a mini pumpkin cheesecake that Mike made the night before. Mike made one big cheesecake, but had some extras so made mini cheesecakes with some mini crusts we had. So good.

Kolache for a Snack
On our road trip to Houston, we had to get gas and got gas at a place that also had a kolache bakery. We got a few for the road trip, and the rest for the family. This one just had some cheese and jalapeno sausage. Not my favorite kolache, but a decent one nonetheless.

Thanksgiving Dinner
We made it to Houston in time to put the stuff we prepped the night before in the oven and be ready for dinner. Thanksgiving "Dinner" was more of a lunch. We ate it at 1pm. All of it was amazing. The turkey was probably the most moist turkey I have ever had, the cranberry sauce was great, the stuffing so good, and my favorite the cornbread stuffing. Mmm. I also liked my sweet potato casserole, even if the marshmallow part is largely debated in the food blog world.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Again
I had pumpkin cheesecake again, but this time at an appropriate time. Mike even made cinnamon whip cream on top. Mmm.

Turkey Snack
I ended up eating some turkey and cranberry sauce later that evening as dinner. So good.

How Was your Thanksgiving?
