June 9, 2012 - Birthday Celebrations

Jamie Eason Week 9 Day 5
Another extremely long workout in the books. I really enjoyed this workout, except for the tuck jumps. 


The reason why I didn't like the tuck jumps was just because of how awkward I felt while doing it. I would be fine doing it at home, or in a group of people also doing something similar, but doing it next to all the muscle men by the benches feels weird. Clearly I got over it and sucked it up though because I did it. I am glad I did. I love this program because it makes me try things I never would on my own. 

Lunch
After a special k before the workout, I had a burger and fries for lunch. I had an intense craving for it and went for it. Plus it was my pre birthday celebration. Yay.

Hops & Grain
Teddy invited Mike and I to go to Hops & Grain for their Saturday tasting.  This is a local craft brewery, that allows you to taste their beer every Saturday. If you pay $5 you get a cute Hops & Grain glass and get tickets to try 3 beers. I knew not to drink 3 beers in 2 hours so I just had 2 of them. If I had more I knew I wouldn't make it out to my own birthday party that night.





Birthday Celebration at Whip In
I invited a few friends out to Whip In, a great indian restaurant and bar, to celebrate my birthday. My real birthday is on June 12th, but that was on the day before the little brother's wedding so I wanted to celebrate early with my Austin friends.

I started with some indian falafel with an amazing dipping sauce.

The entree I had was this amazing chana masala. This is absolutely my favorite chana masala except it always makes me sick. I think its just from the spices or something but I get sick every time. I thought maybe it was a one time thing but I got sick twice from it and so did Teddy. Regardless I would eat it again, once a year or so. Crazy right? It's just that good.
