Saturday, January 19, 2013 - Oh How I Missed the Gym

Farmer's Market
Michael and I woke up feeling great, no major signs of a cold. We decided to celebrate by going to the farmer's market to pick up some tasty bread and eggs. 


We brought the pups as well and they were a hit.

Breakfast
We were really excited to eat some breakfast one we got home. We made delicious eggs, some challah bread and ham. So good. The eggs we get from one of the stands taste so much better than any other egg I have had from other places. So tasty.

Workout
Once breakfast settled in, I went to the gym for a workout that I not only needed physically but mentally. It had been too long. Since my arm had been sore, I decided to do a no arms workout. Essentially just a workout that would not put any strain on my arm. It included crunches, squats, sit ups, lunges, double crunch, calf raises, leg raises and sumo squats. After I did those I went to the cardio cinema room to bust some 30 minutes of cardio on the bike. Oh it felt so good.

Lunch
After a few errands I had some leftover pear and gorgonzola pizza with salad. So good.

Dinner
For dinner, Michael and I had big plans to go to Linday and Luke's place for a rissoto making party. I had never made rissoto and was very intimidated by it, and Lindsy wanted to teach me how easy it is. She showed me how to make a lovely rissoto with butternut squash and mushrooms. Holy heavens it was delicious. I am still dreaming about it. Please note I had a few more servings than that. :-)


After dinner we watched our pups play together. Ender and Emily have such a blast hanging out with Beji. I love it!

For dessert, Luke made some lemon sorbet. Holy moly this was a perfect ending to the night. It was light and refreshing and oh so tasty. Mmm.

  1. Yay! I'm so glad our dinner made it to the blog(and turned out so well). The best part is definitely puppies playing :)
